Columbus Day

This week in Little Bug's preschool class they are going to be doing a Columbus Day and Transportation theme so I thought today would be a good day to discuss Columbus Day with her. I kept it very basic for her and we talked about the three ships that Columbus and his crew sailed on. Then we did a craft afterwards by making the Nina, the  Pinta, and the Santa Maria.

So this is one of the things I thought Little Bug could make....a boat made from marshmallows and toothpicks

She was more interested in eating the marshmallows

Then she was just putting together some random marshmallows and toothpicks

Next up we made the ships out of egg cartons, clay, toothpicks and labels
